Angel
Stop
The Old Testament Hebrew word for angel is mal'ak, meaning "messanger" or "representative". The word angel commonly identifies a supernatural being who plays a mediating role as a messenger between God and humans. But we should remember that angels are not mediators of salvation--the bible affirms that Christ is the only mediator in this sense (1 Tim 2:5) . Christ reconciles us with God and makes us God's Children; angels assist and minister to humans at God's direction.

What are Angels ?
Angels are spirits
Like God, Angels are spirits, and unlike humans, have no physical constraints. They never die
(Luke 20.36)
and they can interact with us. As seen in Christ's resurrection
(Matthew 28:2-7)
, they removed the heavy stone that sealed the tomb, and spoke to the woman.
Angels are superhuman beings.
Meaning that angels have greater abilities than humans....Angels are mighty beings who respond to God's commands; they rescue people from
hopeless situations, they give direction and guidance to those who are lost, and they protect the faithful from certain danger. They
have opened prison doors
(Acts 5:19)
, reveal messages from God
(Acts 27:23-24)
, and they can bring judgment on the wicked
(Acts 12:23)
.
